Accommodation is located over 2 floors in a spacious Edwardian property it is also our home so in general is occupied 24 hours per day.
We are located within a 5 minute easy walk of Collington railway station, 15 minute walk from Bexhill station and 10 minute walk from Town Hall square for coach travel. We are also on a bus route with easy access to Bexhill and Hastings one way and Little Common and Eastbourne the other. Collington Avenue provides unrestricted parking for car users. We have two off road parking spaces but these are on a first come first served basis although we can try to keep them available for guests with mobility requirements. There is also a local taxi service that can provide wheelchair access.
Please advise us of your anticipated arrival time so that we can be sure we are here to welcome you. Accommodation is normally ready for occupation from 3pm, however earlier arrivals can be catered for by prior arrangements. We ask guests to vacate rooms by 10.30am on day of departure.
A pavement with grass verges runs along the front of our property, there is no step from this to our front path which is flat and tiled. The door bell is to the left of the wide front door and has a small 4in step into the lobby area. There is then another door which opens into the large hallway. This has varnished floorboards with a rug. There is a bell on the wall in this area if assistance is required, this has 24 hour use but after 10pm for emergency use only please.
Once you have booked in you will receive two keys, one for your room and one for the front door, to enable you to come and go as you please. Our dining room has wood flooring and is on the ground floor, it has double doors which open onto a decking area, there is a 3in high door step. There are 5 steps with rails either side which lead down to the garden. We do have a large fish pond which has protected rails but we must ask that children are fully supervised by an adult at all times.
All our bedrooms are carpeted and bathrooms have vinyl or tiled floors. There are tea/coffee making facilities, biscuits and bottled water in all rooms. They all also have TV’s and hairdryers.
Our beds are normally made up with synthetic duvets and pillows, sheets and blankets can be provided if preferred, please specify before your arrival if required.
In the event of a fire there are extinguishers by the front door, on the landing by the bedrooms and in the kitchen. There is also a fire alarm which sounds in all rooms. Exits are via front door, side kitchen door and rear conservatory door.
